About Cathy Pierce
 
  Therapy First is owned and operated by Cathy Pierce, who has 32 years of experience rehabilitating patients in hospitals, rehab centers, and outpatient facilities. Born and raised in the Corpus Christi area, she's been helping patients at her current location since 1995. She cares deeply about the well-being of every patient as well as the community where she's spent her life.

Since physical therapy is a process rather than a quick fix, choosing a therapist with many years of experience means you're getting someone who has seen first-hand what techniques work best in the long term. Cathy Pierce takes enormous pride in seeing her patients make a full recovery, but that isn't her only goal. She'd rather prevent injuries than cure them, which is why Cathy makes sure all of her patients leave fully educated about how to maintain their health for a lifetime.

Her strong belief in education extends to the physical therapy community, where she is active in sharing her wealth of experience with students and interns of both Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant programs from many universities and colleges.

When your personalized therapy program calls for exercise, Therapy First is able to provide convenient access to all the equipment you will need and personal guidance throughout your program.

Our occupational therapists are highly skilled in rehabilitation of hand injuries and problems involving the upper extremities. They are trained in restoring the ability to dress and the other skills needed to be independent in daily activities. Therapy First has two excellent occupational therapists on call and available for appointments.
