When you think of stress what does it mean to you?

If you are living a life filled with stressful reactions to other peoples behaviours then you are living someone else's life!
Living life by default trying to fulfil everyone else's needs leads to overwhelm and affects your brain functioning.
When your brain is not functioning correctly then you are more likely to continue living by default!

Stress is designed to get you going, keep you moving, alive, stimulated for expansion. But, and it's a big but, when you are under pressure over long periods of time you are doing yourself untold harm because you are in survival mode and this is not only debilitating it is dangerous! Too much too long leads to mental ill-being and chronic disease. It keeps you in survival mode and you cannot not jump from surviving to thriving, you need to send easy calming messages between your brain and body to change the trajectory you are on.
Living a life with fatigue, insomnia, high blood pressure, weight gain, memory loss and a fog filled mind along with feeling anxious, depressed, a loss of libido and depending on drugs, alcohol and fast food to get you through is no life at all. This is survival mode living!

Mind-body Connection
Often people believe stress is bad. And this can be true but it can also be a good thing if you understand it's function.
You are not just your thoughts or just your feelings. You are an amalgamation of everything you think and feel and it is your feelings that will let you know if your thoughts are genuinely yours or they have come from your life experiences.
If you are feeling stressful reactions within your body that lead to externalised behaviours you would rather not exhibit when you are thinking about doing something you actually don't want to do, then you are aligned with you! Listen to what those feelings are telling you.
Don't do it!
Your body tells you when you are tapping in to what is good and right for you, and stressful reactions are a positive indicator of whether you are on the right track.
Good Stress is necessary in positive situations. It provides you with the movement you need to get going and keep going!
